Davis Field
Trojan Ave. entrance is located before Sam Brown Park on the road just after the Tennis Courts. Davis Field is the only baseball/softball facility owned and maintained by Alleghany County. It serves as the home field for the middle school baseball team and Tar Heel League baseball. Located at the field are bathrooms, concession stand, score box and scoreboard. This facility is heavily used from April to October. If you would like to use this facility please contact Alleghany Recreation @ 336-372-2942 for field availability.

Veterans Memorial Park
Veterans Memorial Park is located between Veterans Memorial Highway (Sparta Bypass) and Duncan Street. Access to the park is from Duncan Street.
Veterans Memorial Park consists mainly of an open space multi-use area across Bledsoe Creek. Other features at the park are: 75 space parking area, picnic shelter with attached bathrooms and concession area, concrete bridge, elevated walking path 1/3 mile in length, fishing access, and a level open space area approximately 3 acres. This park is open to the public when not in use by programmed activities through the Recreation Department.
