Alleghany Fairgrounds is a Public Use Facility for recreational, educational and profitable endeavors. Alleghany Fairgrounds offers several fee options to serve your needs. All applications will be reviewed for approval by the Alleghany County Fairgrounds Board. User fees determined at the approval of the application for use. Rules and Regulations can be found on the application or consult the Recreation Director for more information.
Fairgrounds Features
- Covered grandstands with large covered picnic area and paved walking area
- Concession stand (Restaurant Permitted)
- Large dirt arena: ~ 250′ X 125′
- Portable stage 12′ X 40′
- Sound System available for a fee
- Large grassy camping area with over 25 RV sites utilized during the Fiddlers Convention in July
- Emerson Black Building for indoor exhibitions, plus kitchen
- Open Exhibition Barn with movable livestock pens
- 20 Stall Horse Barn
