Register of Deeds office administers notary public oaths for Alleghany County notaries between 8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In addition, the office makes a variety of notary forms available to the general public, including applications for initial appointment, reappointment, and change of name or change of address. You will receive a notice to be sworn in at the Regisiter of Deeds Office. The notary oath fee is $10.00.
