Finance Office

FINANCE MISSION STATEMENT
The Alleghany County Finance Office maintains and administers all of the County’s fiscal operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB), accounting procedures required by local, state and federal laws. We work closely with the Local Government Commission in accordance with the Local Government Fiscal Control Act.

We work to maintain the general fund ledger along with all other funds ledgers, monthly reconciliations, complying with all local policies and procedures, insuring compliance with the Alleghany County Budget Ordinance, and required reporting to State and Federal agencies.
