The Alleghany County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) is in the process of being updated. A CTP is a long-range multi-modal transportation plan with a 25-30-year planning period and is used to identify transportation projects for future funding. The CTP includes recommendations for highway, public transportation, bicycle, and pedestrian modes of transportation. The CTP recommendations are
guided by a local Steering Committee and public input. Public input is being sought for the Alleghany County CTP. The public input survey can be accessed at the following link:

The survey will open on May 2, 2024, and the deadline to take the survey is June 8, 2024.

    Completed paper copies of the survey will be collected from the locations noted above after June 8.
