The next item of business included comments about the DOT Transportation Improvement Plan.  After some discussion regarding the status of the Sparta Western Loop, Project R-4060, it was the consensus of the two boards that a letter is prepared to address the support of the Council and Board of Commissioners to keep this project on tract.  County Manager Don Adams and Town Manager Bryan Edwards are to work on an appropriate letter to send to NC DOT officials.
